I was asked to present on a panel at the June 2012 PRSA Travel and Tourism Conference in Columbus on the subject of how PR can help freelancer writers (and, it ends up, bloggers) tell a better story. My co-panelists were two writers and fellow SATW members I’ve admired for a long time: Jackie Sheckler-Finch and Ed Wetschler. We covered a lot of ground during our one-hour presentation plus there were some really great questions from the audience.
While it’s impossible to share everything we discussed, I am posting the powerpoint I used as our visual. The main take-away is that freelancers are evolving and cover a wide spectrum of media. PR should take this into consideration when they work with freelancers.
